Robbery with Violence Arrest:
A 25-year-old Montreal man and a 28-year-old Ajax man have been arrested and charged after three males were robbed over the weekend.

On August 19, 2017 at approximately 2:30 a.m. the victims, a 21-year-old male and a 19 year-old male, were at a downtown food vendor at the corner of George and Charlotte Streets when they were approached by two men unknown to them.

It was reported that without apparent provocation the two unknown males ripped a gold chain off the neck of each of the male victims. During the incident one of the victims, who was able to grab his chain back, was assaulted.

The two unknown males then fled the area on foot and police were called and dispatched to the area. During the investigation it was reported that a third victim, an 18-year-old male also in the area at the time, had his gold chain stolen off his neck.

A short time later officers located the two unknown males still in the area where, as a result of the investigation, they were arrested and charged.

Jeffrey Anthony Jackson, 25, of Terrace Coursol, Montreal, Quebec, is charged with the following:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Fail to comply with a recognizance X3

James Alexander Park, 28, of Tansley Crescent, Ajax, Ontario, is charged with the following:

  • Robbery with theft X2

The co-accused were held in custody and appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on August 19, 2017.
