On July 24, Your Family Health Team Foundation announced that the Montreal Canadiens Alumni team would be coming to Peterborough to participate in a charity hockey game on Friday, November 10 against the Peterborough Quacks, a team of local doctors. The game will take place at the Peterborough Memorial Centre and tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 28 for $20 and $75 for the VIP experience, which includes a pre-game reception and meet & greet with the Montreal Canadiens Alumni team.
The full roster for the Montreal Canadiens team will be announced in September and the Alumni are promising an exciting and dynamic game. “The Montreal Canadiens Alumni team is composed of some of the Habs’ most loved players over the years,” says Brian Da Silva with the Montreal Canadiens. “We are looking forward to confirming the final lineup in the coming weeks and are excited to take to the ice against the Peterborough Quacks to help raise funds for the great work of Peterborough Family Health Team.”
All funds raised will continue to support the work of Your Family Health Team Foundation for Peterborough Family Health Team’s specialized programs such as the Youth Sports Concussion Program, Mindfulness for Mental Health, INR Clinics and more, as well as research, capital equipment, training and continuing medical education for local healthcare providers.
