Applications to Trent University up by 17.4% among Secondary School Students Trent University led the province for percentage increase to applications for the second year in a row with a 17.4 per cent increase in applications from secondary school students against a system-wide increase of 2.4 per cent according to figures from the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC). Adam Scott + Scruffy’s TEAM 55 – Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Team 55 was started this fall by Dave and Heather Pogue, with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Adam Scott Lions junior football team, following the suicide of their son and Lions’ alumnus Mitchell Pogue. Scruffy, (Jonathan Lopes), is a grade 12 student currently attending Adam Scott C.V.I. Last year, Scruffy ran a mental health fundraiser entitled “Purple Scruffy” and raised over $500.0 in under two weeks for DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance).
