Peterborough County-City Health Unit Move November 23, 2015

The Peterborough County-City Health Unit is pleased to announce that it is moving to 185 King St. (also known as Jackson Square) in Peterborough on Monday, November 23, 2015.  We’re excited to join the downtown community and bring all staff, clinics, programs, and services together under one roof.  This new location not only brings us closer to our Community Dental Health Centre at Peterborough Square, but will make it easier for residents to access public health services and information, as well as other health and community related services in the downtown core.Staff will relocate from two of its present sites at 10 Hospital Drive and 150 O’Carroll Avenue to the first three floors of 185 King St.

Phone numbers and fax lines will remain the same, however the following public health services and programs will be delivered at the new location starting in November:

  • Sexual health clinic
  • Routine immunization clinic
  • Travel health clinic
  • Vaccine records and information consultation
  • Vaccine pick up for healthcare providers
  • Prenatal classes
  • Nutrition workshops
  • Food handler training courses
  • Septic/sewage disposal permits
  • Quitting smoking
  • Health hazards complaints and inquiries

Parking at 185 King St.The new location is conveniently located right across from the King St. Parkade which offers one-hour free parking, and free parking after 6 p.m.  There will also be accessible parking directly in front of the building, and regular street parking available.Plans for the move are underway so be sure to check our website www.pcchu.ca under “We are moving!” for updates
