2014 Civic Awards

Nominations for the 2014 Civic Awards have opened today and will continue until March 13, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. The annual City of Peterborough Civic Awards recognize and honour citizens who had outstanding achievements in 2014. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteer leaders and achievers in sports, arts and culture to be publically recognized for their contributions to the City of Peterborough.

Of special note, this year the Civic Awards have been revamped. Some categories have been changed, some removed and some new categories have been added to better reflect the interests of City of Peterborough residents. New categories include Adult Athlete of the Year and Environmental Stewardship/Sustainability.

Nomination packages are available online at www.peterborough.ca. You can submit your nomination on-line with our interactive form, or packages are available at City Hall (500 George Street North) and at the main branch of the Library (345 Aylmer Street North). The awards ceremony will take place on June 9, 2015.

If you know of an individual or group who is deserving of a 2014 Civic Award, please nominate them. We know there are amazing people who have contributed to our community – let’s make sure they are recognized!

This information is also available on the City of Peterborough’s website at www.peterborough.ca.
